When I was walking down Fremont Street with DJ Seven, the downtown atmosphere was alive, quirky, kinda weird and eccentric. Half naked angels, Darth Vader and Spiderman were just a few of the nightly entertainers that we ran into during our walk on the Fremont Street Experience. There was one act that really impressed me. He impressed me so much that it made me wonder how he’s playing on the street and not in packed arenas with a full band. This little Las Vegas street drummer boy was ridiculous. His feel for cadence and accents were that of a touring professional musician. Although not perfect, his knack for staying in the pocket while transcending through different grooves really took me aback. He had to be between 6-8 years of age but his musical acumen was of virtuoso levels.
Have you ever aspired to be a musician? The Las Vegas street drummer boy will probably make you want to quit now:
If anyone knows the actual drummer and his parents, please contact us at email@example.com. We’d love to interview them and tell their story.
